On Karen Tramel’s 50th Birthday, Connor and his sister, Madison, were celebrating their mom at The Lucky Duck after a family dinner. Sitting at a picnic table was Madison (not Connor’s sister) and her friend Meg. Connor approached the ladies and attempted small talk. The conversation ended with Connor fumbling over his words and Madison saying, “quit beating around the bush,” in which Connor asked for her phone number.

Connor and Madison began texting back and forth. They decided on dinner at Fixe in downtown Austin on May 13 over three weeks after their initial meeting.

Connor and Madison continued seeing each other regularly. Soon, Connor adopted two kittens, Tony and Don, and once they met Madison’s dog, Ravioli, the animals decided they were brothers. But really, Connor just couldn't believe how much Madison knew about sports ;)

After traveling together, having ALL the fun, and really transforming into a team, Connor proposed on the infamous Tramel Christmas trip to Hong Kong. Immediately following the proposal, the 5 (2 humans outnumbered by 3 animals) loaded up a U-Haul and headed to Chicago for Madison’s job.

They plan to continue to explore the world together, love on their animals, and always approach life as a team. Their wedding in Chicago marks a pivotal time as they decide where to move and explore from here. Wherever they go and whatever they do, they are in it together.
